This stone walled cottage is set in a surrounding 1 acre of wild garden which is simply beautiful. The property is very private and has a fantastic area outside for enjoying the British summertime. We also have a 6 burner BBQ that is also there to be used should you feel the urge. We have wireless broadband in the property and also sky plus TV, so no programme / sport will be missed. Our cottage is situated at the top of a valley that enjoys breathtaking views of the local scenery and village Machen. We are situated at the foot of 4 public footpaths that can take you for miles through countryside and forestry without seeing even a main road.

Machen is a lovely quaint and friendly small welsh village that consists of 9 public houses (one within 200m), most with a very good standard of restaurant. By car you are no more than 15 minutes away from Cardiff city and 10 minutes from Newport centre. Our cottage is not even 5 minutes drive off junction 28 on the M4.
